The first treatment

Friday 11th April – so the treatment begins.

The woman looked at my arms and said my hair was quite long and said normally a couple of days beforehand they usually tell you to shave the area, but they didn’t tell me this!
She said I could either reschedule my appointment a couple days later after I have shaved my arms or they could still do the treatment today, although it may hurt a little more because of the hair length.
I travelled all that way…really early in the morning may I add cos that was when they could only book me in. So I thought, if the only reason for me to shave my arms was just cos it would hurt a bit more…then screw it, ill suck it up!

So finally, we could get started. The woman used a white pencil to make squares on my skin so she could keep track of the areas she has treated. Then, comes the laser. She began with my shoulder and worked her way down. I was thinking ‘this is nonsense this doesn’t hurt’ and just to think, they were considering sending me home.

A few strands of hair here and there are still attached but appear to be singed slightly, this is normal.

Well, once she finished with my upper arm she moved onto my lower arm. It actually started to hurt at this point, but only a bit. The pain only lasts a few seconds…well technically it’s more like the pain gets shifted. You may have pain in one spot but as soon as that pain goes away the pain moves to the next spot getting treated, but once that square section is done the pain gets relieved.

It wasn’t cos of my hair length this was happening to me, it was because the laser was treating a bony area of my arm. So overall it was going great. Fair enough I felt a little pain but it wasn’t enough for me to scream so loud the people in the waiting area could hear me.
BUT THEN – she was kind enough to do the slight hair on my hands and fingers and I am glad it was a small area cos MY GOD, it hurt! Aw the bones! But it was soon over and I was done, well the arm part of it anyway.

She then did my underarms, because it is a small area it was quick to do. She said most people often have pain in the middle of the armpit but I didn’t really have any problem.

She applied this gel and spray on the areas. I will talk about the products in my next blog.

Considering she said my arm hair were long I didn’t think she would be able to do my legs on the same day, as…lets just say they were kinda long (since I grew them out a bit thinking its like waxing, you cant get the hair properly if you only have the tip of the hair). She said they were quite long and would be best if I shaved them and made another appointment. So I made an appointment the following Monday for my legs.

Since this was my first treatment, with my 20% student discount it is: £1,675.20. (6 treatments) so I saved £419.00.

A full body with a 15% discount would be: £1,779.90
Saving: £314.10
